COVID-19 CAMPAIGN

During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Illinois Department of Health and Human Services was tasked with an outreach campaign to four ethnic groups on the importance of testing and social distancing.

The collaboration

The Illinois Department of Health and Human Services needed to quickly partner with direct mail, digital advertising and television firms to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Paladin Political Group was recruited to design and target the mail campaign, robocalls and text messaging

How we solved it

The Paladin Political Group produced mailers in Spanish, Arabic, Polish and English to be mailed statewide.  

Each mailer not only needed to be translated, but needed custom images to reflect each of the targeted audiences.

In addition, the mail and graphics and messaging had to take into account cultural sensitivities and differences in response the pandemic.  For example, one message would focus on protecting your family and another message would have to focus on not having shame in getting tested.  Understanding these differences was crucial to the success of the campaign.

In addition to design and message development, The Paladin Political Group provided strategic targeting to reach intended audiences across the state.
